I have finished my (at least first round) test, between the Canon 70-200 F4 L (non-IS) with a cheapo fotga adapter, Sony FE 70-300 G, and two copies of the Sony FE 70-200 F4 G. It was a warmer day after some cold days, so there was some haze, but it impacted all the lenses the same.

I recently sold my 70-200 f4 G OSS. I occasionally take (not for work) outdoor sports photos and indoor figure skating photos. I'm undecided between 70-200 f4 GII and 70-200 f2.8 GM2 (which however costs a lot more). third option: tamron 70-180 f/4 G2, (no teleconverter) (but I don't trust the autofocus if it's like the G1 version).
